This session will cover how to creatively and effectively leverage social media tools to grow and engage your audiences.
The learning objectives of this lab include how to:
- Determine which social media platforms are best for your audience
- Engage your current audience with social media
- Target new audiences through social media
This hands-on lab is geared toward board and staff members of small nonprofit arts and cultural nonprofit organizations in the South side of Chicago although it’s open for anyone to attend.
Communications and Learning Consultant. Social Design Ethnographer. Research Scientist. Social Media Curator. Artist. Kelly works at the intersection of social learning and digital participation. She works with individuals and organizations interested in learning how they can be more effectively social. She is passionate about working with people to develop their vision, voice & social ways to live, work and learn.
Kelly has collaborated with industry partners: i) Digital, creative & communications (NativeHQ, ADMCi, MediaSnackers, HuwDavid Design, Digital Analytics Association, The Campaign Palace, DoubleClick Australia); ii). Education, non-profit/social good (Youth Crossroads Inc., CiTE, Insight Labs, The Third Teacher Plus, Cardiff University); iii) Arts & culture (Blast Theory, National Theatre Wales, NoFitState Circus, The Space Movement Project, Arts & Business Council Chicago, Hedwig Dances, Redmoon Theater, London Southbank Centre); and iv). Public sector (Berwyn Parks District, DWP).
Working from Oak Park, IL, a suburb of Chicago, Kelly has delivered workshops, colloquia, talks & creative projects in Wales, England, Scotland, France, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Canada, Australia & the USA.
