Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA)

Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) is A&BC’s longest-running service for Chicago-area arts organizations. The BVA service recruits and trains experienced business professionals as volunteers, and then assigns them to serve pro bono on consulting projects for small-to-medium sized nonprofit arts organizations throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. A&BC’s business volunteers are highly qualified professionals with a minimum of five years of managerial experience and a commitment to working closely with arts organizations on a project basis.

Ready for a BVA Consultant Team?

Business Volunteers for the Arts, working in consulting groups of two, three or four, lend their time and talents to work with your management and staff on a variety of complex business-related projects, including:

  • Business Plans

  • Strategic Plans

BVA projects typically last two-to-six months. The actual time commitment depends on the nature of the project, but all parties agree on an anticipated outcome and completion date at an initial project meeting.
