Committed arts organizations work tirelessly to build an audience. Their Cultivation activities capture the attention of existing and prospective donors. And their presence in the Community builds opportunities for cultural understanding and collaboration.

But how do they align themselves to the people and resources they need to grow strategically and managerially? By CONNECTING with the Arts & Business Council of Chicago…its network of artists, arts organizations and arts supporters…and its expanding corps of skilled and dedicated business volunteers.

If you are involved with—or drawn toward—the arts and want to interact with people as passionate as you are, A&BC has just the event for you! We make connecting easy and fun through our “Connect 4 the Arts” networking event on Thursday, July 21, 2011, 5:30 - 8:00 pm. Join us for an evening of music, appetizers, drinks and more at Carmichael’s Chicago Steak House at 1052 W. Monroe.

This annual summer event, attended by business professionals, community volunteers, arts administrators, advocates, donors, artists and creative individuals of all kinds, allows you to Connect in 4 ways:

Connect with the A&BC
With 25 years of experience matching volunteers with arts organizations who seek assistance, the A&BC can help business professionals put their skills and know-how to good use. Learn about A&BC's signature volunteer-based programs—Business Volunteers for the Arts and On BOARD. Whether it's by helping a performing arts group to create a marketing plan or by serving as a board member for a striving arts organization, you can have a direct and powerful impact.

Connect with the Arts Sector
A&BC works with hundreds of arts organizations annually, and by getting involved with us you gain access and exposure to Chicago's rich arts community. A&BC offers unique ways for individuals and organizations to connect in a common cause—a more vital and sustainable arts sector in our city.

Connect with People Who Share a Passion for the Arts
People who are connected to the A&BC feel passionately about the arts and their enthusiasm takes many forms. Some serve as volunteers, some are tireless arts patrons and audience members, some are professional artists or arts administrators, some merely pursue creative activities in their free time—ALL are people you can get to know through involvement with the A&BC.

Connect with a Community of Professionals
Getting involved with the A&BC is a great way to build your personal and professional network in both the corporate and artistic realms. Through the A&BC you connect to future mentors, colleagues—perhaps even employers.

Plan for some summer fun and Connect 4 the Arts by joining us on July 21st!
